With an actual day off (not a weekend) thoughts set in...

My first semester of law school is now officially half over. Whether that is a good thing or a bad thing has yet to be ascertained. I have taken a new view of whats going on in that building of learning I go back to every day...
Forget what they say about law school being a marathon...it isn't even at Boston marathon level. Its the Iron Man triathlon! You go and go til you no longer have feeling in your legs because you have been pushing so hard, and at the same time you are looking around at all your surroundings in awe hoping to one day be able to enjoy them instead of biking those 112 miles.

And, I am attempting to regain that small part of my sanity that the combination of law school and alcohol is bleeding out of me. I joined a gym, where everyday I go, away from school and my apartment, and pedal for miles and miles to nowhere. I listen to my iPod on shuffle and I read. I only read NON-LAW SCHOOL BOOKS. This one hour is what I am willing to carve out of my study time to promote maintaining my mind so I know why I put myself through this and return to that building every morning.
